Metanoia recognizes neighborhood youth as key stakeholders in the economic revitalization of our community. Youth from disinvested communities tend to demonstrate stronger entrepreneurial spirit and resources than those from wealthier neighborhoods. For this reason, Metanoia has focused much of the programming for older students in our leadership pipeline on entrepreneurship.

Metanoia educates our business students using the Network for Teaching Entrepreneurship (NFTE) curriculum. Students develop their own business plans in a three-week intensive summer Biz Camp and they also manage two small businesses.

Isoke Sisters Jewelry: Isoke Sisters Jewelry is operated by the females in Metanoia’s Youth Leadership Programs. "Isoke" is a Swahilli word that means “gifted.” Metanoia students make and design their own handmade jewelry that is sold at local venues. If you have a special occasion coming up, please consider giving a piece of this quality handmade jewelry. The recipient will be thrilled to receive a nice piece of jewelry and know the gift is creating opportunity in our community.
