LeRoy Green’s two children, Kaylan, 11, and Eccence, 9, are involved in Metanoia’s Young Leaders Program. But Metanoia’s investment in the Green family does not stop there. Green attended the HUB Minority Contractor Training Academy funded by Metanoia. He is not only seeing growth in the lives of his daughters, but also in his small landscaping business.
LeRoy Green Landscaping is a multi-faceted small business, providing services from “grass to plants to trees to roofing to sheetrock,” Green says. He received training about licenses, permits and business law. Networking with other local businesses and mentors was also a key component of the training and has proven to be a great benefit for his business.
Now with six employees providing services for neighborhood residents, Green is thankful for Metanoia’s presence in his life. Green says, “Metanoia is very helpful if you give them the chance. You can’t come in expecting something to drop on the table. Metanoia will help you the best that they can and lead you the right way. You can get all you need right here.”
By investing in LeRoy Green, we are creating economic opportunities for his family and others in the community. Families like the Greens are essential to Metanoia’s goal of holistic community development.
